6x + 46 = y

Substitute for "y" and solve for "x":
7x - 3(6x+46) = -39
7x -18x - 138 = -39
-11x = +99

x = -9

Solve for "y":
y = 6x+46
y = 6*-9+ 46
y = -54 + 46
y = -8
