1%28x%2B2%29=4%2832x-1%29 Cross multiply


x%2B2=128x-4 Distribute.


x=128x-4-2 Subtract 2 from both sides.


x-128x=-4-2 Subtract 128x from both sides.


-127x=-4-2 Combine like terms on the left side.


-127x=-6 Combine like terms on the right side.


x=%28-6%29%2F%28-127%29 Divide both sides by -127 to isolate x.


x=6%2F127 Reduce.

Multiply both sides by 4%2A%28x%2B2%29
x+%2B+2+=+32x%2A4%2A%28x+%2B+2%29+-+4
x+%2B+2+=+128x%5E2+%2B+256x+-+4
128x%5E2+%2B+255x+-+6+=+0
This can be solved using quadratic formula

Multiply both sides by 4x
