Question 404141: Divide and simplify...I have worked this problem and I'm not sure if I have done it correctly. r^2+5r/r^2+4r-5 divided by r/r+1 I came up with r+1/r-1 for an answer. Am I on the right track?
(r^2+5r)(r+1)=(r+5)(r+1)=r+1*x(x+5)
(r^2+4r-5)=(r+5)(r-1)r=r-1*x(x-5)
I have gotten confused and need to know if I am on track. Thanks!
