Question 403009: i don't think that i selected the right topic for what i'm doing. i'm in pre-algerbra 7th grade. this is my problem, 5/8(p-4)= 2. i think you use distributive property, bring down 5/8 and make it 5/8p. multiply 5x4=20. 8x4=32, make that a fraction,20/32. 5/8p - 20/32=2. do you make the dimoninateors the same? so, multiply 5/8p by 4? so now it would be, 20/32p. this is where i'm stuck!the written problem would now be, 20/32 - 20/32p=2. would you resipical the 20/32 to 32/20? discard it. the problem now who be, 20/32p=2. would you make the 2 into 2/1 and multiply it by 32/20? 2/1 x 32/20 =32/10 which is reduced down to 3 1/5 is that the correct answere?
