Perimeter P=2%2A%28L%2BW%29
L - length
W - width
If width is x ft, then length is (x+20)
Put all in perimeter formula
500=2%2A%28%28x%2B20%29%2Bx%29
500=2%2A%28x%2B20%2Bx%29
500=2%2A%282x%2B20%29
500=4x%2B40
4x=500-40
4x=460
x=460%2F4
x=115
So width is 115 ft, then length is 115+20=135 ft
Answer: 115 ft and 135 ft
