subtract 1 from both sides:
6sqrt%28x-1%29=x-1
divide both sides by 6:
sqrt%28x-1%29=+%28x-1%29%2F6
square both sides:
x-1=+%28x-1%29%5E2%2F6%5E2
x-1=+%28x%5E2-2x%2B1%29%2F36
cross multiply:
36x-36=+x%5E2-2x%2B1
-36=+x%5E2-38x%2B1
0=+x%5E2-38x%2B37
0=+%28x-1%29%28x-37%29
