If so, then multiplying both sides by (t+g)(t-g) we get:
+g%28t-g%29+-+g%28t%2Bg%29+=+-2g
dividing both sides by g:
+%28t-g%29+-+%28t%2Bg%29+=+-2
+t-g+-+t-g+=+-2
+-g-g+=+-2
+-2g+=+-2
+g+=+1
