Hi
Using the vertex form of a parabola, y=a%28x-h%29%5E2+%2Bk where(h,k) is the vertex
y = (x + 3)(x - 4)
y = x^2 -x - 12 |expanding
y = (x- 1/2)^2 - 1/4 - 12 |completing the square
y = (x- 1/2)^2 - 49/4 Vertex is Pt(1/2,-49/4), line of symmetry x = 1/2
