We have: 2(3x-5)+7>x+12
working out the brackets: 6x - 10 + 7 > x + 12
now bring the righthand part to the left: 6x -x - 3 - 12 > 0
counting together: 5x -15 > 0
thus: 5x > 15
or x > 15 / 5 ==> x > 3
