You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Stefans school is selling tickets to a choral performance. One the first day of ticket sales the school sold 4 senior citizen tickets and 3 student tickets for $79. The school took $246 on a second day by selling 12 senior citizen ticjets and 10 student tickets. Find the price of a senior citizen ticket and the price of a student ticket.

price of a senior citizen ticket= x
and the price of a student ticket=y
...
4x+3y=79 ...........1
12x+10y=246.........2
multiply (1) by -3
-12x-9y=-237
add to (2)
10y-9y=246-237
y= $9 price of student ticket
plug y in (1)
4x+27=79
4x=52
/4
x=$13 price of senior citizen ticket
