Question 398601: ok so i have a final on tuesday thats worth 65 percent of my grade. I am failing the class but if i can pass with an A or B then my overall grade will go up. Ok so I have to solve the system by graphing. the problem is :
X + 2y = -7
2x - 3y = 0
I am not sure how to even do the math to figure out what points to start at. And i need help with the graphing. I'm jsut confused

You can put this solution on YOUR website! solve the system by graphing. the problem is :
X + 2y = -7
2x - 3y = 0
---------------
These are straight lines, so you need 2 points for each.
X + 2y = -7
x = -2y - 7
Pick 2 values for y and find x
y = 0, x = -7 --> (-7,0)
y = -3, x = -1 --> (-1,-3)
Plot the 2 points, draw a line thru them.
----------------
2x - 3y = 0
y = (2/3)x
Same thing, but pick x values
x = 0, y = 0
x = 6, y = 4
Plot them, and draw a line thru them
---------
Where the 2 lines cross is the solution.
