Using the standard slope-intercept form for an equation of a line y = mx + b 

 where m is the slope and b the y-intercept.  

y = x-10  |slope m = 1  and y=intercept is Pt(0,-10)

Note: m = 1/1,  y increases/decreases equally as x increases/decreases in value
