His son is x years old.
In 2 years Max's age is x+24+2-->x+26
His son's age will be x+2
Equation:
%28x%2B26%29%2F2=x%2B2
x+26=2x+4
x=22
22+24=46
Hence, Max is 46 years old and his son is 22 years old.
