Let x and (x+10in) represent the width and length respectively

Question states***  (Note:  P = 2L + 2W

  2x + 2(x+10in) = 68in

solving for x

   4x + 20in = 68in

      4x = 48in

       x = 12in, the width.  the length is 22in  (12in + 10in

CHECKING our Answer***

  2*12in + 2*22in = 68in
