Perhaps you lost ( ) if answer 1/4 is not correct
6/(x+8)=8/x
6x=8x+64
-2x=64
x=-32
If it without ( )
6/x+8=8/x
8/x-6/x=8
(8-6)/x=8
2/x=8
x=2/8
x=1/4
x=0.25
