You can put this solution on YOUR website!
v=S%2Ft t=S%2Fv
It takes him 4 hours to run 30 kilometers.
so run speed v1=30/4=7.5 (km/h)
then walk speed v2=7.5-3=4.5
so it would take him to walk the same distance t2=30/4.5=20/3(h)=6h40min

: A man can run 3 kilometers faster than he walks.
It takes him 4 hours to run 30 kilometers. How long would it take him to walk the same distance?
:
Let w = his walking speed
then
(w+3) = his running speed
:
Therefore: (s+3) = 30%2F4
4(w+3) = 30
4w + 12 = 30
4w = 30 - 12
w = 18%2F4
w = 4.5 km/hr is his walking speed
therefore:
30%2F4.5 = 62%2F3 hrs to walk it
