Multiply eq. 1 by 2 and add to eq. 2,
2x-4y%2B20%2B5x%2B4y%2B8=0
7x%2B28=0
7x=-28
x=-4
Then use either equation to solve for y.
-4-2y%2B10=0
-2y%2B6=0
-2y=-6
y=3
