Question 397454: If Jason read x pages on Wednesday, twice as many pages on Thursday as on Wednesday, and three pages more on Friday than on Thursday, what was Jason's average number of pages read over those three days?

So far I get X = Wed, 2X = Thurs and 2X+3 = Fri
X + 2X + 2X +3 = total
5X + 3
and now I'm stuck
Thanks for the help!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

Hi
Yes! X = Wed, 2X = Thurs and 2X+3 = Fri
X + 2X + 2X +3 = 5X + 3
Average over the 3 days = (5X+3)/3
