You can put this solution on YOUR website!
five years ago, an aunt was three times as old as her nephew. In three years time, she will be one year less than twice as old as her nephew. How old are they today
----
Equations:
(a-5) = 3(n-5)
(a+3) = 2(n+3)-1
-------------------
Rearrange:
a -3n = -10
a -2n = 2
----------------
Subtract and solve for "n":
n = 12 (nephew's age now)
------
Solve for "a":
a-2*12 = 2
a = 26 (aunt's age now)
