given:

b+-+a+=+-2
Add these equations:
a+%2B+b+=+12
-a+%2B+b+=+-2
2b+=+10
b+=+5
and,
5+-+a+=+-2
-a+=+-7
a+=+7
The numbers are 7 and 5
