You can put this solution on YOUR website!
graph the following problems, #1 &2;
1.) 3x-5y = -9
5x-6y = -8
2.) 4x+5y = -2
4y-x = 11
These equations are straight lines.
To graph, change each equation to the standard form for a straight line,
y = mx+b,m being the slope and b the y-intercept
Starting from the y-intercept, find the second point by using the slope, rise/run,or change in y/change in x. You only need two points to draw a line.
Changing equations above to standard form:
3x-5y=9
5y=3x-9
y=(3/5)x-9/5 (m=3/5), y-intercept=-(9/5)

5x-6y=-8
6y=5x+8
y=(5/6)x+8/6
4x+5y=-2
5y=-4x-2
y=(-4/5)x-2/5
4y-x = 11
4y=x+11
y=(1/4)x+11/4
see the following graphs(you should be able to identify each line by their slopes and y-intercepts. for example, only one of the lines has a negative slope
