Question 392711: Two sides of a triangle have lengths 8 and 7. which inequalities describe the values that possible lengths for the third side? show process
all i know is that in an example in my book i had to subtract 8 and 7, then add 8 and 7, and something with an x. but I'm beyond confused. Answer by ewatrrr(24785) (Show Source):
Hi
Let x represent the length of third side
Note: Sum of the Lengths of two sides of a triangle must be greater then length of the 3rd side
8 + 7 = 15
x < 15
