A citizen can vote for mayor in 4 ways..( any one of 3 candidates or no one )

similarly, for city councilwoman .........5 ways.

           for district attorney........... 4 ways.

total ways = 4*5*4 = 80

but, here there is one way when he didn't vote for any position..

so, subtract 1 from total 80.

total no. of ways =79
