You can put this solution on YOUR website!
To do unit conversions, place your desired unit on the bottom and the unit you have on the bottom. Sometimes you might have to do multiple unit conversions, e.g. when you're converting miles to centimeters. I'll show an example of a unit conversion:

Suppose you want to convert 2 feet into centimeters. We start with 2 feet

2+ft

and multiply it by %2812+in%29%2F%281+ft%29 (as 12 inches equals one foot).

Note that units such as feet, kilometers, liters, degrees, radians, etc. can cancel out and are multiplicative just like real numbers do. Therefore,

%282+ft%29%2A%28%2812+in%29%2F%281+ft%29%29+=+24+in

We do the same thing when converting inches to centimeters, using the approximation 1 in = 2.54 cm. So,

%2824+in%29%2A%28%282.54cm%29%2F%281+in%29%29+=+60.96cm

Therefore 2 feet is approximately 60.96 centimeters.
