(7 + 12i) + (8 - 4i) = 15 + 8i. I don't know how to plot points on this site but you can draw a regular Cartesian plane and label the point (15,8) since the y-axis represents the imaginary part of a complex number.

(8 + 2i) - (7 - 3i) = 1 + 5i (the number i has the same characteristics of other variables).
