Let x=first consecutive number
x+1= second consecutive number
The first consecutive number + second consecutive number = sum
x + (x+1)= 28
2x+1=28
2x=28-1
2x=27
x=27/2
x=13.5
therefore x+1= 13.5+1= 14.5
The numbers are 13.5 & 14.5
