You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let x = length of first segment and y = length of second segment


Since "The sum of the lengths of two line segments is 24", we know that they add to 24. So x%2By=24. Now solve for y by subtracting 'x' from both sides to get y=24-x


So the length of the second segment is 24-x. So you are correct.
