x-3=4%2Bx Start with the given equation.


x=4%2Bx%2B3 Add 3 to both sides.


x-x=4%2B3 Subtract x from both sides.


0x=4%2B3 Combine like terms on the left side.


0x=7 Combine like terms on the right side.


0=7 Simplify.


Since this equation is NEVER true for any x value, this means that there are no solutions.
