You can put this solution on YOUR website!
To find the y-intercept, plug in x=0 and solve for y

-2y+%2B+16x+=+-4 Start with the given equation.

-2y+%2B+16%280%29+=+-4 Plug in x=0.

-2y+%2B+0+=+-4 Multiply 16 and 0 to get 0.

-2y=-4 Simplify.

y=%28-4%29%2F%28-2%29 Divide both sides by -2 to isolate y.

y=2 Reduce.

So the y-intercept is .
