When you write Log54 do you mean Log%5B5%5D%284%29 where 5 is the base of the logarithm?
I am going to assume that this is what you meant, so...
If you'll recall the definition of the logarithm of a number..."The logarithm of a number is the power to which the base must be raised to equal that number."
a) X+=+Log%5B5%5D%284%29 ---> 5%5EX+=+4 In words, the logarithm of 4 is the power (X) to which the base (5) must be raised to equal that number (4).
b) 7+=+Log%5B6%5D%28Y%29 ---> 6%5E7+=+Y
