Question 388330: Graph the inequality on a plane.
4x+5y≤20
Please tell me what are the paired orders and tell me what paired order goes where. If I am looking at the graph....does the first paired order go in the north east south east north west or south west and please explain the same way for the second paired coordinates. This will help me understand how to graph better. Thank you in advance!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
It's actually "ordered pairs" and not "paired orders"

First, graph the line 4x%2B5y=20 by plotting the two points (5,0) and (0,4). These are the x and y intercepts. Now draw a line through those points.

Next, pick a test point, say (0,0) and plug it in. So plug x=0 and y=0 to get 4%280%29%2B5%280%29%3C=20 which simplifies to 0%3C=20. Since the inequality is true, this means that you shade the ENTIRE region that (0,0) is in. Basically, this means that you shade everything below the line.

Let me know if this helps.
