From the rectangular flag, we know that angle a and angle d are right angles. Also, segment ab must congruent to segment dc. Since m is the midpoint of ad, then segment am is congruent to segment md.Thus right triangles bam is congruent to triangle cdm by the LL-Theorem. Hence the corresponding hypotenuses bm and cm are congruent.
