Hi
One positive integer is 18 more than a second positive integer
Let x and (x +18) represent the smaller and larger integer respectively
Question states***
2(x+18) + 3x = 86
Solving for x
2x + 36 + 3x = 86
5x = 50
x = 10, the smaller integer, the larger is 28 (10+18)
CHECKING our Answer***
2*28 + 3*10 = 45 + 30 = 86
