You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2sqrt%28X%29%2B8=6
subtracting 8 from both sides:
2sqrt%28X%29=+-2
dividing both sides by 2:
sqrt%28X%29=+-1
squaring both sides:
X=+1

2sqrt%28x%29%2B8=6. The equation is the same as 2sqrt%28x%29+=+6+-+8, or 2sqrt%28x%29+=+-2, or sqrt%28x%29+=+-1. Incidentally, the quantity sqrt%28x%29 can only be non-negative, and so the last equation has no real solution in x. It is inconsistent.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2sqrt(x)+8=6
2sqrt(x)=-2
sqrt(x)=-1
x=1 Square each side.
.
Check:
2sqrt(1)+8=10
So x=1 is extraneous and there is no answer.
