You can put this solution on YOUR website! The sides of an isosceles triangle have lenghts of 2x+4, x+8. The base has lenght 5x-2. What is the lenght of the base?....
since the triangle is isoscles
the sides are equal.
x+8=2x+4
add -x to both sides
8=x+4
add -4 to both sides
8-4=4=x
..
Base = 5x-2
5*4-2
