 (2x-1)(x-4)= 39

 2x^2 - 9x + 4 = 39

 2x^2 -9x -35 = 0

x+=+%28-b+%2B-+sqrt%28+b%5E2-4%2Aa%2Ac+%29%29%2F%282%2Aa%29+ 

x+=+%289+%2B-+sqrt%28+361+%29%29%2F%284%29+ 

x+=+%289+%2B-+19%29%2F%284%29+ 

   x = 28/4 = 7

   x = -10/4 =  -2.5
