Question 38510: Hi please help me with these three problems. I sure would appreciate your help.
Write each expression as a single logarithm. Then simplify if possible.
1. log(5) 3 + log(5) 6 + log(5) 9
(numbers in () are base numbers
Solve each equation. Give your answers to the nearest hundredth.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Write each expression as a single logarithm. Then simplify if possible.
1. log(5) 3 + log(5) 6 + log(5) 9
(numbers in () are base numbers
log[3*6*9]=log(5)162
Solve each equation. Give your answers to the nearest hundredth.
2. log 0.01 = x - 5
log (1/100)= x-5
log 1 - log 100 = x-5
0 - 2 = x-5
-2 = x-5
x=3
3. 5-2^x = 40
-2^x=35
2^x=-35
No power of 2 can be negative.
So, there is no solution.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! 1. log(5) 3 + log(5) 6 + log(5) 9
2. log 0.01 = x - 5
3. 5-2^x = 40
Look at the equation. will not equal a negative number so the sum of five and another number is to equal forty, so there are no solutions.
