You can put this solution on YOUR website!
To find the midpoint of a segment:
(x+x)/2,(y+y)/2
You are simply finding the average of the x values and the average of the y values.
(8+-7)/2=1/2 x=1/2
(-4+8)/2=4/2=2 y=2
(1/2,2)

The midpoint's just the average of the coordinates, or (1/2, 2).
