You can put this solution on YOUR website!

Hi,
Note: The sum of two sides of a triangle must be greater than the third side
6,18,12 Not a triangle 6+12 = 18
15,22,8 YES is a triangle: for ex 15+8 =23, 15+22=37 and 22+8=30
22,13,8 Not a triangle 8+13 = 21
18,6,12 Not a triangle 6+12 = 18

Which of the following lengths could be the sides of a triangle?
------
Rule: Assume you have three sides a,b,x where anyone is one
of the sides and a,b are the other two sides, then a-b< x must be true if a,b,x are to form a triangle.
------
6,18,12
Example: 18-12 < 6 < 18+12; False; no triangle
----------------------------------------------------------
15,22,8
Example: 22-15 < 8 < 22+15 ; True; good triangle
:::::::: 15-8 < 22 < 15+8 ; True; good triangle
:::::::: 22-8 < 15 < 22+8 ; True; good triangle
----------------------------------------------------------
22,13,8
Example: 22-13 < 8 < 22+13 ; True; good triangle
:::::::: 22-8 < 13 < 22+8 ; True; good triangle
:::::::: 13-8 < 22 < 13+8 ; False: no triangle
