First, get into slope-intercept form y=mx%2Bb where 'm' is the slope and 'b' is the y-intercept
10x-2y=60
-2y=-10x%2B60
y=5x-30
The slope is 5.

If we can get it into y = mx + b form, we can read the slope m...
so from 10x - 2y = 60, we solve for y
-2y = -10x + 60
y = 5x - 30
so the slope is 5.
Another way is to merely look at -a/b from the original equation...that gives 5 also...
