Question 383559:
Assume that one circle is selected at random and each circle is equally likely to be selected. Determine the probability of selecting
circle 1 is yellow
circle 2 is green
circles 3, 4, 5 are orange
circle 6 is yellow
10. a number greater than 3, given that the circle is yellow.
This was my answer
P(greater than 3 that is yellow) = 1/6
My teacher said:When a statement includes "given that ..." then the events are limited to only those that satisfy the "given that ..." condition. A Venn diagram can be used to show the events and conditions.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! You know that the color is yellow.
Go back to your circles, how many are yellow?
Two of them, one numbered 1, one numbered 6.
Now what is the probability that the number is greater than 3.
Two possible outcomes, only one is greater than 3.
