Question 383030: Bag A contains 2 white and 3 red balls and bag B
contains 4 white and 5 red balls. One ball is d.rawn
at random from one of the bags and is found to
be red. Find the probability that it was drawn
from bag A.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Since the bags are randomly chosen the probability that bag A is chosen is 1/2 each time.
Probability of a red from A = 3/5, from B = 5/9
.
1/2 * 3/5 = 3/10
1/2 * 5/9 = 5/18
.
3/10 = 27/90
5/18 = 25/90
.
27/(27+25)
=27/52 probability that it was drawn from bag A.
