You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Leo has $3.25 in quarters and dimes. He has four more quarters than dimes. How many of each coin does he have?
----
Equations:
Quantity Eq: q = d+4
Value Eq::: 10d + 25q = 325 cents
--------------------------------------
Rearrange and simplify to get:
10d - 10q = -40
10d + 25q = 325
--------------------
Subtract 1st from 2nd and solve for "q":
35q = 365
q = Not a whole number.
