a) What is the lowest population possible for the rabbits and when does it occur?
b) When does the population first reach 130 rabbits? When t=?
c) Hunting permits for the rabbits are stopped when the population drops to 100 rabbits. When should the permits be stopped?

a) If you remember what a normal cosine graph looks like, its range has a maximum at 1 and a minimum at -1. This one has an amplitude of 20, so it would have a max of 20 and a min of -20, except that it has been moved up 120. Thus, it vacillates between 100 and 140, making the minimum 100.
To find out when this happens, plug in 100 for P(t).

-20=20%2Acos%28%28pi%2F6%29t%29

pi=%28pi%2F6%29t
6=t
In 6 months, it will hit its minimum: 100.
