undefined usually means a vertical line

it has an x-intercept , but no y-intercept

An undefined slope means that the change in x is zero (since slope is defined as delta%28y%29%2Fdelta%28x%29 and we'd be dividing by zero. Graphically, this means that the line never touches the y-axis (unless we have the equation x=0, which has infinitely many y-intercepts)
