Practically if you visualise properly you will infer that it will take 40 minutes. double the time since both rates are equal.
...
let each fill in x minutes
..
each one does 1/x of the job in 1 minute.
togther they do 1/20 of the job in 1 minute
1/x +1/x = 1/20
..
LCD = x
(1+1)/x = 1/20
2/x= 1/20
cross multiply
2*20 = 1*x
40 = x
each will fillin 40 minutes.
