%28x-%28-3%29%29%5E2%2F1%2B%28y-0%29%5E2%2F9=1
It should be clear that this equation is equivalent to the one you were given. In this form I hope you can see that this is the equation of an ellipse with a center at (-3, 0).

I will leave it up to you to use the denominators to find "a" and "b" so you can determine the vertices of this ellipse. Just remember to add and subtract "a" and "b" from the coordinates of the center when finding the coordinates of the vertices.
