3a%5E4-3a%5E3%2B3a%5E2%2B11a-8%2Ba%5E5%2B10a%5E3%2B4a%5E2-3a%2B5-6a%5E4%2Ba%5E2-5a-5 Remove the parenthesis.


Group like terms.


a%5E5-3a%5E4%2B7a%5E3%2B8a%5E2%2B3a-8 Combine like terms.
