Question 375971: I have been racking my brain on how to do this. Please help!
How would you completely factor the polynomial: 135^6y^2-60y^2? I don't need the answer, I just need to know how to do this. I know I had to find the GCF.
This is as far as I got; 5(27^6y^2-15y^2)I don't even think that is right. Please help. I need this by Friday Nov. 26. Thanks for any help you can give me.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
135^6y^2-60y^2
Is it 135%5E6+ ?
If so,
135%5E6y%5E2-60y%5E2
= 135%5E5%2A135y%5E2+-+60y%5E2
= 135%5E5%2A9%2A15y%5E2+-+60y%5E2
= 15y%5E2%2A%28135%5E5%2A9+-+4%29
= 15y%5E2%2A%28403563009375+-+4%29
= 605344514065y%5E2
