Hi,
Let x represent the number of years so that the man will be twice as old as his son.
Now, the man is 32 years old while his son is 8 years old
32 + x = 2(8 + x)
solving for x
32 + x = 16 + 2x
16 = x, the number of years from now that the man will be twice as old as his son
CHECKING our Answer
32 + 16 = 2(8 + 16)= 2*24 = 48

The age difference is 24.
When his son is 24, he'll be twice that, in 16 years.
